Overeating and Relationships…a Deeper Look

Table of Contents

I received great feedback from last week’s post, Why Do I Overeat? about overeating and I wanted to follow it up with a quick video.

Reading through the comments and e-mails I was finding a very common theme in regards to what leads to overeating and it’s something we have all, at one point or another, experienced.

Find out what this theme is below and read the exercises below the video:

Here’s what I invite and challenge you to do:

1. Take an inventory of your life and see what relationships and situations you feel you are giving more than you are receiving.

Remember, anything that is putting out into the world, creating, doing, making, is considered output, and anything that you are receiving, whether it is energy, love, or pleasure is input.

Make a list of all your sources of output (jobs, relationships, friendships, business, etc), and a subsequent list of all your sources of input (people and things you receive pleasure from, like hobbies, relaxing, etc etc).

2. Find ways that you can receive more input, receive more love, energy, pleasure and joy, and ways you can avoid giving too much away, like saying no (yes, it’s OK to say NO every now and then), and not overcommitting.

3. Leave me your input and output sources down below, and your game plan for receiving more and giving less.
